Art of Korea

Look up as you enter the gallery featuring art from Korea and you will see roof tiles characteristic of those found in Korea. These roof lines were based on Buddhist temples where roofs were angled to provide shade for the monks.

Featured in this gallery are examples of celadon created in Korea, works of brass and stone carvings.Stone rams greet guests who will also find examples of functional objects including cooking items, an inlaid wooden chest, drinking cups and locks.
