Featured in this gallery are Shinto shrines and a beautiful pair of painted sliding doors. Guardian figures are placed nearby for protection. Fierce costumed warriors stand guard over displays of carved objects, ceramics, and woodblock print books. In contrast to the diminutive netsukes on view, there is a huge metal fountain which represents the way it would appear in an ancient temple. Water would flow from the edges of the petal shaped opening.
At the Museum, one can continue on to try calligraphy, and one day there will be a video game at the end of the Art of East Asia galleries.
